I’ve been obsessed with Golden Goose Deluxe Brand for a while. They were launched back in 2000 after bringing together the talents of Francesca Rinaldo and Alessandro Gallo in Italy. Over the years, they have evolved into a worldwide designer brand with retail locations worldwide, and it’s one that style enthusiasts really love.
I’ve followed Golden Goose for ages and I would often check out the collection on FarFetch, as they always had an amazing selection, but I never ended up getting any because I always found them a bit pricey and looked too similar to Converse, so they were always shoes that were just in the back of my mind. A couple of years ago, Adam was the one who was the early fan and he actually got his first pair of their Superstar sneakers last year, which was what pushed me to explore them deeper. Seeing his pair up close and realizing the uniqueness of each pair because they’re artisanal, I was even more curious. As the Golden Goose Superstar sneakers are intentionally aged and made to look used and abused, they are all hand done so each one is different. Some have much more abrasions and dirt than others, so there’s a whole spectrum.
